During the month of May 2006, students and teachers at two elementary schools participated in a pilot program with Sharper Results S.E. The feedback from students and teachers has been pure excitement and hope to use the software again! Please visit our Testimonials page to read some of the comments made. The goal of the pilot program was to examine the effectiveness of Sharper Results S.E. Before using the software each student took a 20 question pre-test to determine their skill level at that time. The students then used Sharper Results S.E. to do practice sessions and take tests. Most students were able to use Sharper Results S.E. for at least 3 sessions. After using the software for a period of time, the students took a post-test (same as the pre-test) to determine the improvement of each student. The results from the pilot are outstanding! A total of 8 classrooms, 172 students, were able to take both the pre-tests and post-tests. (A total of 13 classrooms used the software, but only 8 had enough time to take the post-test). After using Sharper Results S.E. for a few times, all classrooms improved their average score by more than 2 points! Below you will find the stats broken down by classroom. The tests were scored out of a possible 20 points. The images are a graphical representation of the results*.
*Please note that the scores above include progress made by other means of learning. We do not want to take any credit from the teachers who work incredibly hard to teach our students.
